We used a bovine model to see the effect of three common instruments used in rotator cuff surgery (shaver, RF coagulation, RF ablation) on the underlying ostecytes and vasculature. We found there was significantly more necrosis with RF ablation than with RF coagulation or shaving. Manuscript in submission
